The Department of Physics has been functional since inception of the College in the year 2009.The Department was established as a full fledged, felicitate Engineering Under-graduate students and research department actively involved in the emerging fields of research. The faculty members of the department awarded with Doctoral degree in most reputed Universities and faculty members are guiding the Ph.D students in their respective fields of research and published papers in the reputed Journals.
The under graduate B.E/B.Tech students are exposed with strong foundation in the fundamental science and latest developments and achievements in the Material Science and physics by arranging guest lecture apart from their regular academic curriculum. Building foundation for excellence and spur development of the Institution as a premier Institution by igniting and nurturing enthusiasm, interests and passion, in the study of physics, in professional courses, as a part of curricula Awaking the young minds and discover their talents both in theory and in practical Physics, through dedication to teaching, commitment to students and innovative instructional methods like LCD presentation, OHP/Smart Board etc.
The Department is planning to establish a R&D Programmes and hence to obtain projects. And also to regularly publish articles, research papers, special books and manuals for Engineering Physics.
Area of Research in progress:
• X-ray crystallography
• Material Science (Crystal Growth, Thin Film, Fuel Cells, Fiber synthesis)
• Nonlinear Dynamics
• Advanced Ceramics
• Nano-science and Technology
FACILITIES
The Physics Laboratory for the first year B.E./B.Tech.students is well equipped to do the experiments for Physics practical classes Physics laboratory is conducting odd semester in regulation 2018 and also, research laboratories were established and young motivated Ph.D research scholars are involved in active research under guiding our faculty members in the department of Physics.
The department is aim to provides a strong foundation in the fundamental sciences to development students. Building foundation for excellence and spur development of the Institution as a premier Institution by igniting and nurturing enthusiasm, interests and passion, in the study of physics, in professional courses, as a part of curricula Awaking the young minds and discover their talents both in theory and in practical Physics, high quality qualified, experienced and dedication to teaching. The department faculty members to take very active part in motivation the students to take part of the activities. Our department has well equipped laboratory.
