Electricity is one of the inevitable sources of energy in the world. It is a fascinating field which is undergoing rapid changes and without which the day to day life is impossible. Hence Electrical and Electronics Engineering becomes a core branch of Engineering. The department is headed by Dr.N.Kumarasabapathy who has a vast teaching experience and is ably supported by 12 well qualified vibrant faculties. The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been an integral part of the college since its start and it has grown steadily over years. The faculty in the department is a rich blend of personnel with vast experience. The dedicated staff members have sound knowledge in emerging areas like Embedded System, Power Electronics, Power System, High Voltage, Fuzzy Logic etc. The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has organised many National level technical symposiums. We equip the students with adequate knowledge in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and professional skills necessary to face the future challenges with confidence and courage. We chalk out various industrial tour, seminars workshop, etc. for the benefits of the students. The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been started in the year 2009 with an intake of 60, with an objective of imparting quality education in the electrical and electronics engineering
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is established in the year 2010 with an objective of providing innovative and quality education with high standard to achieve academic excellence and a conducive platform for the students to achieve their career goals. The department encompasses a fine blend of young, dynamic and renowned faculties with a balanced mix from the industry and academics. Our department has been conducting seminars, workshops and symposiums since its beginning to keep the faculty and students aware with the latest developments in the field of technical education.
As this field of engineering is a dynamic and exciting area that provides excellent career opportunities in various sectors of the society, we are committed to give our students an environment where they develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they advance through the programme. In addition to classroom teaching, the students are guided and motivated to practically implement the principles learnt in classrooms through experimentations in the laboratories. The infrastructure and lab facilities are also upgraded from time to time to provide a good practical learning and innovative environment for the students. Encouragement is given to appear for extra- and co-curricular activities and many other academic excellences to pave way for a red carpet welcome to the hard working students in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.
To excel the students in various activities of EEE department (AEEE) ASSOCIATION OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING had been inaugurated in the year 2012.
This association is started keeping in mind to mould our student with capability to meet out the industrial expectation. Every academic year the activity of the association begin with inauguration followed with various activities.
AEEE inauguration followed by various association activity including aptitude, logical reasoning, technical quiz and group discussion etc were conducted on every week Friday during the afternoon session as association activities hours from second year till their final year.
GATE Mock Test was conducted for final year students every year to face the interview and selection process in industry.
From the AEEE every year International level symposiums and Workshops were conducted by the students themselves. A President, A Vice-President, Secretary and A Trashier were elected from the third and final year students of the department and make them to organize such technical as well as non-technical events inside the campus in order to incorporate the leadership quality and organizing skills in them.
